SB 217 Dyslexia

In 2018, the Indiana General Assembly passed Senate Bill 217. The legislation validates the need for a multisensory educational approach for our dyslexic students. Decoding Dyslexia Indiana (DDIN) is a grassroots movement of parents that formed in February 2013. DDIN seeks to raise awareness about dyslexia among parents, the general public, educators, community leaders, and legislators. In addition to advocacy, they also plan informational events for educators and parents, connect parents to resources, and are exceptionally knowledgeable about dyslexia.
